Man Stranded On Island Passes Up Opportunity To Be Rescued After Learning College Football Cancelled

A local man who was found alive and stranded on a deserted island in the Pacific declined to be rescued after learning that college football was canceled this fall. When asked about his decision to stay, he seemed to not care about anything.

“I’m good, just gonna wait it out here and most likely die I guess. No point in going back now, life is meaningless without my Huskers. Thanks though,” said the man, when rescuers tried to bring him onto a helicopter and back to a nearby ship.
